Hmm. Alexis? Hello nurse!

Poor guy, though. "Self confessed showman"? That's as bad as saying that someone was "sensitive" and "theatrical" as a child.

Why not just say "screaming mox who likes to play hide the sausage"?

Do you know something we don't Rob ?  Grin

Just raising an eyebrow at some of the wording that's all.

A very big eyebrow.

Very high.

Oh I love Josh Dubovie, I'm glad he made it through. Mike and Pete could so do something really classy and polished with him, like a modern day Rick.

LMAO - I'm not sure he likes to play 'hide the sausage' as much as Josh, in his lovely leather trousers  ("Josh believes he has his mother's voice and his father's confidence" - more like his mother's love of 80s fashion and his father's bouffant hair) Wink

Here's another typically cynical article from today's Sun newspaper (who, reliably as ever, said the show was tonight. Derrr - it's NEXT Friday!)

I can tell you what, happened in Italy at the Festival of San Remo, the Italian most important music TV show: there were about 20 songs competing for victory but raised the top two boys who participated in two major Italian talent show "X-Factor " and "Amici" (friends). They have beaten very famous singers in Italy.

I want to say thatt I greatly appreciated Sonia and I think she's a very good singer. But I think England needs new faces.

I posted this about last year winner, Alexander Rybak

I think it's really difficoult to write songs so exciting.

As he said in an interview, it took 5, 6 months to prepare a 3 minute presentation for the Eurovision Song Contest. I greatly appreciated the Scooch, but the song "Flying the flag" is definitely lower than that of Alexander and they reached the 22nd position in 2007. We are no longer in the era of the 80s, people want a more complicated mix of incredients to send a song on stage winner.

Alexander came from norwegian Idol Tv Show.

Actually, I like "Happy" more these days than back when it was released. I think the Hammond remix did the trick.

Also taken from the BBC Radio 4 'Front Row' interview (Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register)

So... the song is 128bpm (yay!) with classical mid-european music influences? (but then which Mike Stock song DOESN'T?!) with a key change (!) and a very obvious/accesible Stock/Waterman title! and Mike is still tweaking the song!! (Also nice to hear that whoever wins, the song will then be tailored to their style) (PS - Geek fact: 'When I'm Good And Ready' made 5 on the UK chart, not 2 as Pete says, ahh good old Pete talking things up again ;o)

Looking forward to Friday quite a bit - come on people, whatever you think of Eurovision - it's a brand new Stock/Waterman song!

I really liked it too, but it seems a lot didn't.

The song was fine (imho), I think they chose the wrong act to perform it, just a bit too cheesy a concept.
